• Perform hands-on commercial & residential maintenance and remodeling, including but not limited to painting, drywall repairs, carpentry, minor plumbing, and electrical work.

• Conduct quality control inspections on subcontracted trades work to ensure accuracy, compliance with project specifications, and adherence to industry standards.

• Verify completed work, track project progress, and ensure subcontractors meet deadlines and quality expectations.

• Monitor subcontractor hours and performance, providing oversight and reporting any discrepancies.

• Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project goals are met.

• Maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving and provide recommendations for improvements as needed.

• Travel periodically across Texas for work requests, project oversight and on-site inspections.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Proven experience in construction, including any of the following areas: commercial maintenance and repairs, residential or commercial remodeling, handy man, facilities maintenance, trade specific construction foreman, home building, etc.

• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and quality standards. Including OSHA safety requirements for commercial job sites.

• Experience in subcontractor management, progress inspections, and quality assurance.

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

• Must have basic hand tools and cordless power tools; vehicle and large equipment will be provided as needed based on project scope.

• Basic technological skills, including email, text message and the ability to take and send photographs of receipts, property damage, work progress and completed projects.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

• Willingness to travel within Texas as required.

• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and professional appearance.

Compensation:

This is a 1099 contract position, hourly / weekly pay to be determined based on experience & qualifications. Along with daily per diem for lodging & meals when traveling overnight. This is an ongoing opportunity for consistent work in the Texas construction market.
